Frequently asked questions
When does the vault unlock?
Clips stay hidden while the event is running. The vault opens when the event reaches its end time or the creator ends it early, and the film becomes available once processing finishes.
Can anyone see my clip before the reveal?
No. Database and storage rules block reads for every member, including you and including the event creator, until the event ends. This is enforced on the server, not just in the app.
What if I miss a prompt?
Nothing happens. The prompt is marked missed, there is no penalty, and you are not alerted again for it.
Can I record without being prompted?
Yes. Every member gets a daily allowance of self-initiated clips, set by the creator when the event is made. Those clips follow the same lock rules.
How do I report something or someone?
Open the clip or the member in the app and choose Report. Every report reaches an on-call moderator and is acted on within 24 hours. You can also block any member without filing a report.
Does Panoptik cost anything?
No. Panoptik is free. There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.
How do I delete my account?
Open Panoptik, go to Settings, select Account, then Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. If you cannot sign in, use the account deletion page.
Is Panoptik on Android?
Not yet. Panoptik is iOS only for now.
